Our first grant recipient is a patient technician at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida who contracted COVID-19 on the job and was hospitalized with pneumonia. She is also a single mother and sole provider for her three children, two of whom also contracted COVID-19.
Israel "Izzy" Tolentino was 33 years old when he lost his battle with COVID-19. He is survived by his wife Maria and their 2 young children. He always wanted to be a firefighter and serve the community, a hero we are proud to honor.
We at The Giving Angels are passionate about community engagement. With that in mind, we have created a special initiative called the “Frontline Hero Fund.”
During this pandemic, we are offering all of our support to families of frontline heroes who have fallen critically ill, or passed away, from #COVID19 as a direct result of their courageous work. We ask that you join us as we come together with compassion and care for our heroes.
